Executive Assistants in Huge Demand

Here at Effective People, we continuously have a huge demand for Executive Assistants to fill positions for our Government clients.

Just this week alone, we have had six requests!

This is a great time for anyone with experience in this field or for those who have the skills and desire to apply for an EA position.

Finding excellent EA’s, however, is no easy feat.

“to avoid treacherous collisions of private and professional life, mastery of the calendar is essential.”

Every Executive has different requirements, which requires the Assistant to be chameleon-esque in their approach to work, you must be open to learning and to how particular teams and people work. Requiring you to adapt your systems and expertise appropriately.

The following is a list of the most desirable skills and attributes of an excellent Executive Assistant:

  • Must be highly motivated; EA’a are often very busy, and you will be looked upon to keep deadlines and meetings in harmony.
  • Communication skills; EA’s are often first point of contact, clear, concise and effective communication are must haves.
  • Exceptional organisation; to best utilise time, increase productivity, and avoid treacherous collisions of private and professional life, mastery of the calendar is essential.
  • Teamwork; as an EA you will always be working in at least a team of two, being a good and loyal team player will be essential to your success.

It requires a particular person to be an excellent EA. If this sounds like you and you are looking for new opportunities, than it is an excellent time to update your resume.
